Pediatric Occupational Therapy
Our Therapists are Personal, Professional and Certified
Pediatric Occupational Therapy addresses a child’s ability to participate in life’s daily activities by learning necessary living skills. Attending school, writing, socializing, learning and playing are all daily activities in a child’s life.
We treat children with a variety of developmental delays and or learning setbacks. Pediatric Occupational Therapist also treat children who have been diagnosed with Autism and Attention Deficit Disorders.
Our Occupational Therapists can provide treatment for the following delays:
Motor Development: Includes both gross and fine motor skills developing muscle strength and coordination, which impact a child’s ability to grasp and carry objects.
Social Skills: Learning to interact appropriately with family members, peers and other adults
Pre-writing and Writing Skills: Writing letters with proper formation, spacing and directionality
Visual-Motor Skills: Coordinating what the eye sees with hand movements (looking at a chalk board and being able to copy a letter that they see onto a piece of paper).
Self Care Skills: Daily activities in life such as feeding, dressing, bathing and using the toilet independently.
Sensory Integration: Being able to process input from all five senses taste, hearing, smell, touch and sight. If a child has Sensory Integration Disorder they receive too much or too little input to one or more of the sensory systems.
